The Open Road is the classic rancher style hat. Made by Stetson in the USA of 6X fur and is available in Black, Silverbelly (Light tan), Caribou (Grey) and Chocolate. It has a 4 1/4" (front crease) regular oval crown, 2 3/4" bound edge brim and a grosgrain ribbon hatband.
Includes a Stetson box.

Stetson Open Road in Fawn
This is a classic design, worn by US Presidents including HArry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, and Lyndon Johnson. It's a very well made hat, and fits perfectly to size (7 1/4). Everything about the hat is quality. The service and prompt arrival of the hat (including the official Stetson hat box) from One2miniranch was excellent.

Quality Product-Bad shaping of the Open Road Form
In ordering an Open Road Royal I expected the same shape as the Shantung Open Road. Was very disappointed when it came without the same flare slightly up on the sides and sloped in front and back as with the straw Stetson Open Road.

Stetson Open Road 6x.
I've had my open road 6x for about a month now. I am really happy with it so far. I increased the crown height a little, and made a slight adjustment to the brim. It takes minor changes very well with steam. I think I'm going to order another one in caribou color as well. I don't know how it will hold up to elements, I have an Sounds that is bullet proof in rain...I wish I trusted this hat as much in the elements...but we'll see. I'm happy so far.
